Live and Work in South Euclid:
One of the best ways to lead a sustainable lifestyle is
by living and working in the same community. South Euclid is home to companies
ranging in size from one-person home-based businesses to large corporations and
institutions. The City’s largest employers include Notre Dame College, one of
the fastest growing colleges in America, University Suburban Health Center,
Aerocontrolex Group, Rochling-Glastic Composites and Gent Machine. The City is
also home to a diverse range of small businesses, many independently owned, in
the service and retail industry. Future development projects will also serve to
increase the number of jobs available to residents in their own community. For
more information on South Euclid’s many businesses, please visit our

Encouraging
Companies to be Committed to Sustainability:

The City of South Euclid is
a member of the Northeast Ohio Advanced Energy District (AED). The AED
consists of 15 communities, including the City of Cleveland,
and is a Special Improvement District which allows for commercial and
industrial property owners to finance the cost of installing renewable
energy technologies and making energy efficiency improvements. Business
owners receive the financing to make these improvements with no upfront
costs. The property owner receives a 20-year assessment on his/her
property tax bill in order to repay the costs of the energy
improvements. Visit the AED Website,www.neoaed.org,
for more information. If your business is interested in becoming more

Creating Sustainable Municipal Facilities:
In order to become a more
sustainable community and save real dollars in the process, the City is
committed to creating more energy-efficient municipal facilities. Thanks to
almost $220,000 in grant money received from the Northeast Ohio Public Energy
Council (NOPEC) Powering Our Communities Grant Program, the City is in the midst
of completing three major energy efficiency initiatives. These projects include;
replacing the roof on the Community Center and then installing solar panels,
replacing Mayfield Road traffic and pedestrian signals with LED Bulbs, and
implementing an energy conservation program in all city facilities which
includes replacements of HVAC equipment, lighting, and a green education
program. Please visit the
City
Energy Projects Page for more information.
