WHO WE
ARE AND WHAT WE’RE ALL ABOUT
Friends
of the Ideal Dog park Off-leash (FIDO) is a community volunteer
organization created in 2004 by a group of dog owners who
believe off-leash activity is an important component of raising
a happy, healthy dog. In partnership with the City of South
Euclid, the group endeavored to establish a fenced in off-leash
recreational area within Quarry Park North. As the result of
several successful fundraising events, FIDO was able to raise
the initial funding necessary to officially open the South
Euclid Dog Park in October, 2005.
Our mission
is to continually improve and upgrade the park for our canine
companions, promote responsible dog ownership and healthy canine
behavior, and recognize the positive role that dogs play in the
quality of life for our community.
