APPARATUS – TYPE – CONDITION

 

Engine #311

 

Delivery of this front line, state of the art pumper was accepted by the City in February of 1999.  This is a 1500-gallon per minute pumper manufactured by the Ferrara Fire Apparatus Company of Holden, Louisiana.  As the primary pumper, 311 handles the bulk of fireground pumping operations, and is second only to squad 341 in the total number of emergency responses.

 

 

Engine #312

 

Engine 312 is a 1500-gallon per minute Pierce pumper, which was delivered in March of 1986.  Early in 2000, this apparatus underwent a thorough rehabilitation to repair and upgrade various components of the body, mechanical and electrical systems.  This unit becomes front line whenever 311 or 321 are out of service for maintenance or repairs.

 

 

 

 

Aerial #321

 

Aerial 321 is the fire department ladder truck first put in service January 14, 1991.  This truck has a 75-ft ladder and a 1500 gallon per minute pumper manufactured by Pierce.  Ladder 321 was sent out for refurbishment in October 2006 and is expected to provide years more service to the City.

 

 

 

 

Rescue Squad #341

 

Rescue Squad 341 is a state of the art ambulance purchased by the City in November 2006. 

Due to the high percentage of EMS calls, this paramedic equipped unit responds to more emergencies than any other piece of equipment.  This 2006 Braun ambulance on a Ford

E-450 chassis is currently in excellent condition.

  

Rescue Squad #342

 

Rescue Squad 342 is a Braun ambulance on a Ford E-450 chassis, which was put into service in February 2002.  This is the second EMS unit and responds when 341 is out on a call.  This paramedic equipped unit is in very good condition.

  

 

Rescue Squad #343

 

Rescue Squad 343 is a 1996 Horton ambulance on an international chassis, which was put into service in October 1996 and is currently in fair condition.  This reserve piece of equipment becomes front line when 341 or 342 are out for repairs or routine maintenance.  Additionally, while in reserve status it contains specialized rescue equipment for immediate deployment in case of activation/call-out for the special rescue team.

 

 

Utility Pick-up #371

 

Truck 371 is a Ford-150 pickup truck used for snow plowing, hydrant testing, details, etc.  The City accepted delivery of this vehicle in July 2002, and it is in excellent condition.

 

 

Staff Car #351

 

Car 351 is the Fire Chief’s vehicle.  Purchased in 2006, this Ford Explorer is in excellent condition.

 

 

Staff Car #352

 

Car 352 is the Assistant Fire Chief’s vehicle.  Purchased in 2006, this Ford Explorer is in excellent condition.

 

 

Staff Car #355

 

Car 355 is the vehicle used by Fire Prevention.  It is a 2003 Ford Explorer in good condition.
