Mayor's Office

South Euclid Mayor Georgine Welo

 mayor@seuclid.com
Welcome!   As South Euclid’s mayor, I am pleased to welcome you to our community. As you take this virtual tour of our city, remember it cannot replace a real tour of our community.   This website does not allow you to talk to residents who have found South Euclid conducive to  starting a family or a business; who have learned they can be as involved in the community, or as  private, as they wish.

Because of our unique location, we are a bridge between the Heights and Hillcrest communities, reflecting characteristics of each. We also are a convenient bridge to the diversity of University Circle and the varied activities of downtown Cleveland.

Our family-oriented community of well-established, well-maintained single-family homes has been augmented recently by new housing appealing to all tastes, to all budgets.

Our community is proud of our municipal parks and their swimming pools. In the winter, an ice skating rink is open adjacent to our community center. And, in the heart of our community, a metropolitan park offers quiet respite from the cares of the everyday world.

Our residents are proud of their community. They show their pride by participating in, or attending, our Memorial Day parade, summer band concerts and Home Days the last weekend in July. The latter is a weekend of entertainment, rides, food, games and fun. It’s all topped off with a spectacular fireworks display.

I’m proud to say I’m mayor of this community. I’d like you to also take pride in South Euclid–a great place to live, work and play.
