Giant Eagle's plastic bag recycling program As a reminder, Giant Eagle's plastic bag recycling
program encompasses a number of items besides plastic bags. Customers can
return their clean, dry plastic grocery bags from any grocer, pharmacy, store,
etc. to the designated bins at Giant Eagle. Plastic bags accepted have a
number two (#2) or number four (#4) on the bottom or side of the bag. The bins
also accept clear shrink wrap and stretch film plastic like you would find over
cases of bottled water, paper towels, and toilet paper, clean and dry plastic
produce bags, plastic newspaper sleeves, dry cleaner bags, and those plastic
pillows from packing if they are deflated. If they are clean and dry, bags
from items like bread and potatoes are acceptable.

RECYCLE TELEVISIONS AT BEST BUY STORES
Television recycling is not a free service in Cuyahoga County. While there is no ban in Ohio on placing televisions and electronics in the regular trash, there are retailers and local companies that offer recycling services for these items. A fee is usually charged for this service. Best Buy stores will recycle your old television (up to 32”) for a $10 fee. In exchange, you receive a $10 Best Buy gift card. For more information, log onto www.bestbuy.com/recycling
Recycling kiosks Every Best Buy store has a free kiosk, just inside the door, for you to drop off inkjet cartridges, rechargeable batteries, cell phones, CDs/DVDs, PDAs, smartphones and Best Buy gift cards.
Shred-It has a community event at their office the first Saturday of each month for anyone. The cost is $4.00 per box or bag of records brought in. They are located at 5480 Cloverleaf Parkway, Suite 7, Valley View, Ohio 44125.
We are proud to live in one of the few cities in the Cleveland area to have an active, dedicated, volunteer Recycling Committee.
We invite you to learn more about our city’s recycling program and join the effort to reduce landfill waste, protect and improve our community, and reduce our city’s service expenses. Back to Top
